Knox County Board

Aaron “Tyson” Simms is an Associate Professor of English at Vincennes University where he teaches several writing courses including English composition I and II, Business Communication, Technical Writing, and Cultural Diversity. He enjoys working with community organizations and programs and is excited to currently serve as a board member for The United Way of Knox County, Indiana.

Katelyn Ice is the owner of Ice Design Studio, a marketing and design agency based in Vincennes. Since 2015, she’s been leading marketing campaigns with a focus on social media, email, print, website design and development, SEO, and Google Ads. Her team works in a private office out of The Pantheon Business & Innovation Center in downtown Vincennes.

Amanda Livesay works for German American Bank for over 17 years, serving the current role as VP Director of Retail Customer Service and Experience, where they are community focused and granted her the opportunity to be able to serve on the United Way Board. She cherishes family time with her husband, Josh and their four children- one daughter and three sons. She has a strong dedication to community service and enjoys spending her time to give back.  She loves to set a strong example for her family and others to hopefully inspire them to get involved.

Cassie Abel, HFA is the Director of Patient Experience at Good Samaritan in Vincennes. She has worked over 20 years in healthcare. Cassie graduated from Vincennes Lincoln and her husband, Scott, graduated from North Knox and have two children. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA as well as the Vincennes Rotary Club, where she's been a member of Rotary for 9 years.
